Testimonials
“I am a retired Child Psychiatrist with 31 years of experience in working with children, teens and young adults with mental health challenges. In 2016, I attended a conference where Dr. Evelyn Miccio did a presentation on ‘Diagnosing Adult ADHD.’ To this day my handwritten scribbles from Dr. Miccio’s presentation are saved in a special place, as it made a huge impact on me. When my young clients with ADHD graduated to the adult world, there was a dearth of resources. Many a time, parent(s) of these children had undiagnosed ADHD as well. Though they were eager to seek help, it was not readily available. I was heartened to hear that there were experts like Dr. Miccio to guide them. Dr. Miccio’s presentation was very scientific, and evidence based. The depth of her knowledge and experience was evident from her stories about the nuances of this disorder, beyond the presenting symptoms of inattention, impulsivity and/or hyperactivity. She talked about its impact on people’s daily lives, relationships, emotional health, careers and any facet you can think of. To address these daily challenges, Dr. Miccio has practical steps that are easy to follow. In her classes, you will find support from others dealing with similar issues and know that you are not alone. That you have the power to overcome these challenges and find happiness and success.”

“Dr. Evelyn Miccio is the perfect blend of a clinical scientist, clinician, and advocate. Her broad and deep experience in neuropsychology, neurodevelopment (particularly ADHD), adult assessment/intervention, consultation, and training of other professionals make her an extraordinary resource. I have known her through her incredible work at Kaiser Northern California for a number of years, where she held the position of Director of Neuropsychology Services. Given that my team has conducted the largest lifespan study of girls with ADHD in the transition to womanhood, I have always respected her deep connectedness with both the science and the sheer humanity of women who contend with experiences of ADHD on a daily basis. Warm yet structured, relatable yet evidence-based, compassionate yet data-driven—she presents a rare and valuable set of skills and talents.”

"I worked with Dr. Evelyn Miccio for over 10 years as a colleague on Northern California Kaiser’s ADHD Best Practices Committee. Evelyn was both a superb clinician as well as someone who developed wonderful programs for adults with ADHD. In my 35 years of working with ADHD patients at Kaiser Permanente, I never met anyone who so understood the needs of adults with ADHD. Her work with this group of patients was based on her in depth knowledge of research in the field. That combined with her deeply human approach made her an amazing clinician. Her health education classes for adults with ADHD was hands down the best in the region. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Miccio to anyone looking for a clinician to assess and work with issues related to adult ADHD.”

“I am writing to give my wholehearted endorsement of my former colleague Dr. Evelyn Miccio. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Miccio for 16 years prior to my retirement from the Kaiser Permanente Department of Psychiatry in San Francisco. In the years that we worked together, Dr. Miccio became my go-to person when I needed consultation and guidance regarding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or other neuropsychological issues. Her skills and expertise in these areas are outstanding. She served as the Director of Neuropsychology and Training for the department and was exceptional in those roles. She was always dedicated to providing the appropriate care to meet the needs of her patients. She was also a huge asset to the department in developing and leading psycho-educational classes for patients coping with the symptoms of ADHD. In short, Dr. Miccio is a gifted therapist and teacher and a knowledgeable, generous colleague.”

“Dr. Evelyn Miccio is an excellent clinician, neuropsychologist, and specialist in adult ADHD. She is an exceptionally bright, friendly, and supportive professional with great interpersonal skills. I met her in 1999 when she was a predoctoral resident training in neuropsychological assessment at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. I was her direct supervisor, then manager for ten years. During that time, she developed the department’s ADHD program and became known as a master ADHD clinician throughout Northern California’s Kaiser Permanente Mental Health programs. She co-led several ADHD training programs for Kaiser physicians, psychotherapists and neuropsychologists. She ran a popular and highly attended Kaiser ADHD Health Education class from 2004 until 2022. When I retired, Dr. Miccio was appointed Director of the Neuropsychology Service, serving in this role from 2009 until 2024. I would recommend her without any reservation to anyone seeking guidance, tools and assistance with cognitive difficulties such as executive dysfunction.”
